2nd: The emperor's new clothes

I read "The emperor's new clothes".

There was an emperor, who was so excessively fond of new clothes, that he spent all his money in dress. One day, two rogues, calling themselves weavers, appeared and said that we could make new clothes which fool people couldn't see. The emperor decided to hire them. After that, they pretended to work very hard until late at night.
As the emperor wanted to know what cloth he would be able to get, so he made his old minister and messenger look it. Because they believed their wisdom, so told their emperor that it was praised one as if they could look it. The emperor couldn't also say honestly that he couldn't see it, and he dressed it and went out finally.

How do you think the emperor knows the truth?
