5th: Eyes

Animals use their eyes to look for food and protect themselves from other animals. An eye has many parts like eyeball, pupil, tears, eyelid and eyelashes. They have functions each. The eyelid and eyelashes protect the eyeball. The eyelid opens and closes, and the tears clean the eye. The pupil helps people and animals to see by adjustment of light. If there is a lots of light, the pupil is little. If there is no light, while, the pupil is big. Eyes which is at the front of animal's head help them to see things at a distance. Eyes which is at the side of animal' head helps to them to see in front and behind. Animals who have big eyes with big pupils can see well in the dark, so they can look their food while other animals sleeping.

Like these, eyes have a lot of important functions. We should protect them!
