8th: Cinderella

There was the wife of rich man, who fell sick. She called her only daughter, and said.
Always be a good girl, and I will look down from heaven and watch over you.
Soon afterwards she shut her eyes and died.

After a long time, her father had married another wife. The new wife had two daughters of her own. They were very mean, and it was now sorry time for the poor girl. She forced to work hard from early morning to midnight. She had no bed to lie down on, but was made to lie by the hearth among the ashes. They called her Cinderella.

When her father was going to the fair, he asked his daughters what he should bring to them. Other daughters wanted expensive things. But Cinderella wanted sprig. After she get a sprig of hazel, she took it, went to her mother's grave and planted it there. It grew and became a fine tree where a litter bird come.

One day, it happened that the king of the land held a feast which was to last three days for choosing a woman who married with his son. Cinderella's two sisters were asked to come. So they called Cinderella to tidy her up. After she did that, she could not help crying because she would have liked to go to the dance too. She begged her mother very hard to let her go, but she was set hard conditions on the permissions even if she did what she was required again and again. She can't go to the ball together after all.

Cinderella went sorrowfully and sat down under the hazel-tree, and wished gold and silver dress. Then, the bird which was her friends flew out of the tree and brought a gold and silver dress for her, and slippers of spangled silk. She put them on, and followed her sisters to the feast.

I have known this story, but what I know is a fairy in place of bird.
After she arrived at ball, what do you think happen to her?
